okay so over the break it was thanksgiving. where family and friends get together and have a huge feast. lots of different varities and choices you could have. its an excuse to pile your plate mountain high with fat and grease and food of all sorts and be a pig without being judged. this holiday is to gather family to be thankful of what the have and who they have in they family and life. but you shouldnt have to eat a huge meal to be thogether. thanksgiving is family time.
this holiday is anti-body. at this holiday, you have huge portions of food and desert and able to go back for seconds and maybe thirds. then when you are finished eatin, you might tend to unbutton your pants because your belly then needs space to expand and room to breath because you fed it delicious food. you dont sit and worry about how many calories your putting into your body, or paying attention to how much you eat. its the joy of being with each other and feeling happy. with this holiday the food is what makes everybody happy.
i know at my house on thursday we spent the whole day cooking. besides the turkey, had about 6 additional sides to choose from to eat. at the end of the day we didnt care who ate what or how much. this holiday being anti-body is something that is good to a lot of people. for those who dont worry aboput gaining weight or trying to look good for the world. by the end of the night everybody was laying down watching the football game and relaxing. nobody wanted to move or go anywhere.

homework 17
of course we have all experienced at least someone who has died or became ill. with me, i have experienced both several times. i have had close people to me (like family members) who have passed away or became very ill. sometime both as well. for example my mother. my mother 4 years ago had breast cancer and ended up being a survivor. another example would be my uncle who had passed away about a year ago. he was sick with diabetes and soon died because of complications. right now i know people who are fighting off diseases and trying to stay alive.
we are all taught differently to deal with different situations. in some families when someone dies, the have funerals and morn for the loved one that dies. some people just act like it doesnt mean something to them and act "cold hearted" against it. it could sometimes mean that its a good sign that it was your time to go and that god needs you up there with him, or it was a bad thing and that you did something bad to deserve it.
i think of it as the circle of life. that its just your time, good or bad and your life on earth is over. but when someone dies, someone else is born and thats how life works.

homework 1
there is a lot you can say about food. food is very delicious, it is something we need in order to stay alive. food is a drug and something that can be easily addicted to. to me i think that food is very tasty and lucky that we have the luxery to eat everythnig and anything that we want and we dont have to worry about running out or not having the next day or two hours from now. however in some other countries, food is very sacred and is treasured more because they dont have as much or they dont get to eat everyday. other countries really have to work for their food but in the end is only but a handful of something. so some coutries look down on the US because we take everything for granted and we could just throw food away like its nothing.
i use to throw food away like its nothing becaue i wouldnt like it or if i was full i would just put the rest in the trash instead of putting it in the fridge for tomorrow. and i would always get yelled at by my mother because i was bein inconsiderate. but now i dont throw as much food away as i use to. i do eat a lot more but thats about it. i eat all my meals plus inbetween some of them when im bored. my meals are not always healthy. they are usually greasy and fatty and from mcdonalds.
a typical meal would be a starch like pasta or rice with some kind of meat like chicken or pork shoulder and then a veggie like corn or string beans. but not everybody eats like that. people always go for what they are craving. usually something from the outside at fast food places. if we were placed in a country where food doesnt come as easy or we would have to learn to eat what we have instead of having options then we would view food very differently. we wouldnt just throw it away instead of saving it and we wouldnt be that much picky. what would happen if we were to live like another country?..or in a past century?
